Fast Facts
> No More Kiddies Table: The Avs recently got Chris Stewart back into their lineup; a scoring forward who they hope can add some firepower when the other skaters clam up. Vancouver knows something about that very negative which is why Tambellini & Raymond are suddenly fourthline pluggers while – of all people – Shirokov gets a promotion to the Kesler line. Also Chris Tanev will play in his first NHL game on the Canucks blueline, subbing in for an injured Alberts.
> Wakey Wakey: Being shutout twice in their last three games has created the normal biblical firestorm to reign down on fans and innocent bystanders. While it’s true the Malhotra line has hit the skids and other guys (Tambo, Burrows, Raymond) have struggled, perhaps the bigger concern is the defensive woes coming from the Alberts and Rome injuries. Vancouver will need to start scoring since a prolonged slump will rattle enough nerves to spark some trade action (which, with Salo on the sideline, is a card that has to be played soon anyway).
> Impress Your Friends With Knowledge!: Alex Edler needs one more assist for 100 in his five season career, all with the Canucks (may as well hold this one from the last game since being shutout make us all stabby and certainly doesn’t help Mr .Edler towards his career marker)!
