Canucks Army Podcast Episode 1: Jason Botchford, Corey Pronman and Corey Sznajder

Today will be the launching point for the newest incarnation of the Canucks Army podcast! I will be your host for this newest venture and hope to carry it on into the foreseeable future.

My main goal will be to bring you the best and brightest minds from around the league, to talk all things Canucks, hockey and analytics. This will be running weekly, schedule allowing. I intend to bring on anywhere from two to three guests a week, with varying takes on hockey and the Canucks in particular.

Firstly, I’m joined by The Province and TSN’s, Jason Botchford. He’s long been a friend of the Army’s and is an all-around good fella to boot. We talk all things Frank Corrado, Brandon Sutter, Yannick Weber and any other number of relevant topics in Canucks land! It’s a lengthy interview and also my first for the series – forgive the echo, if you will.

Following Botchford, there will be the introduction of Corey Pronman. A long-time friend of the Army, Pronman can be found on ESPN, where he writes for their ESPN Insider part of the website – paywalled, but worth every penny. We touch on everything in the world of Canucks prospects, including a personal favourite of mine, Lukas Jasek.

Then finally, I am joined by a good friend (and one time contributor to the Army) Corey Sznajder. He was once upon a time the managing editor for a Carolina Hurricanes blog, Shutdown Line. Sznajder has spearheaded the movement to make neutral zone data available to the public, providing zone entry and exit data on his own personal blog. We talk about his project and how I’ll be carrying the torch personally, tracking entries and exits for every team this season.
