CANUCKS ARMY GDT #71 – CANUCKS VS. KINGS
By Always90four
9 years agoHere’s the thing: I HATE THE KINGS. I always have and always will. Their fairweather fans when things aren’t going well could be worse than Vancouver’s. They’re just a bunch of wheel spinning, vowel buying, come on down price tag wearing, spray tan housewives of Beverly Hills fakes. You’ve been called out. Since the 2012 season though, beating the Kings isn’t exactly easy and then there’s those two rings. Man I hate them.
The season series is all LA; three wins against the Canucks and Vancouver has been slaughtered 12-3 on the score sheet. The game on March 9th was so fun most of us left the house. So going into today’s game, Vancouver needs to dig deep to somehow manage two points and it won’t be easy; not to mention, the Canucks will be without Zack Kassian and Brad Richardson.

HEAD TO HEAD
REASONS YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS GAME
- Regardless of the fact the Kings have smoked the Canucks for a few years now, this is an important game. If the Canucks want to see LA out of the playoffs they need to beat these Hollywood chumps.
- With the “convenient” injuries to Kassian, Richardson and Burrows, Ronalds Kenins seems to magically stay in the lineup when he is the odd man out. Is he “fixing” things to guarantee himself a spot every night? Who knows. Keep your eye on this as it develops.
- The Columbus game was a stinky mess and its best we all forget about it ASAP. The bright spot is super rookie Bo Horvat once again scored a beauty and raised his goal total to 12. It’s a shame he hasn’t been trusted with better producing line mates but his line is definitely the straw stirring the drink for some time now.
- Beating the Kings is quite gratifying and a win in LA not only helps the Canucks playoff hopes, it pushes the Flames and Kings further away. I can’t state this enough, these are a HUGE 2 points!
- There isn’t much time to enjoy the beautiful landscape, the beautiful people and some fun shopping spots, but the Sedins managed to put the final touches on their remake of a classic film.
- You may see a important star in the crowd like Pat Sajak, Tom Cruise, Pierce Brosnan or even Kevin Costner!
WHAT THEY’RE SAYING
MY TAKE
The Canucks can’t keep letting games like this get away from them. Two teams that are pretty equal, it’s time to show why they are ahead in the standings and why the Kings don’t need to be playing for ANOTHER Cup. Canucks have been OK in the really early games so I’m saying 3-2 Canucks.
