The Stanley Cup was awarded to the St Louis Blues last week but the focus has quickly shifted to next season as teams prepare for the NHL Entry Draft, free agency, and the 2019-20 season.
Earlier today, the Canucks announced their training camp and pre-season schedules
They will have training camp at the Save On Foods centre in Victoria BC from September 13th until the 15th and then take on the Calgary Flames in a split squad pre-season game on September 16th in Victoria and Calgary. They will then do a home and home with Edmonton on September 17th and 19th before taking on the Los Angeles Kings in Salt Lake City on September 21st. The Canucks then make the trip down highway one to Abbotsford to host the Ottawa Senators at the Abbotsford Events Centre and then close out the pre-season hosting the Sens and Arizona on September 25th and 26th respectively.
The Canucks had mentioned in the past that they were intent on having more pre-season contests around BC thus the appearances in Victoria and Abbotsford should come as no surprise and should be welcomed with open arms by the people in each community. Last year, the Canucks played a pre-season game in Kelowna.
The full schedule for training camp will be released closer to. Whilte Tickets for training camp practices, as well as the Victoria and Abbotsford games will be available beginning August 7th.
