Canucks announce 2017 Young Stars Classic Roster

The Vancouver Canucks have announced their 2017 Young Stars roster today.

Top prospect Jonathan Dahlen will not be attending as he has been diagnosed with mono. Other prospects not in attendance are European prospects Elias Pettersson, Petrus Palmu, Lukas Jasek, and Dmitry Zhukenov as their respective seasons have begun. Lastly, Adam Gaudette and William Lockwood are unable to participate as this tournament is deemed a ‘professional event’ and thus would void their NCAA eligibility.

The invites are forwards Aaron Luchuk (Windsor), Alexis D’Aoust (Shawinigan), Danny Moynihan (Alaska), Johny Corneil (Niagara) and Aaron Berisha (Missouri). The defencemen invites are Aaron Irving (Everett) and Matt Barberis (Vancouver WHL). Goaltender Michael Garteig is no longer Canucks property after being signed to an AHL deal by the Comets but will attend this event on an invite.
