Canada

WHL

• After being held off the scoresheet for our previous update, Jett Woo picked up two assists in one game of the two games he played this week. He assisted on two late goals as the Warriors stormed back to tie and force OT against Medicine Hat. He will represent Team WHL in Kamloops on Nov 5 and then in Langley on Nov 6, although there is no word which game (or both) that he will be dressing for.

OHL

• Matt Brassard is up to a point per game pace with one goal and three assists over three games this past week. Despite missing a few games to start the season, Brassard sits 14th in points for defencemen.
• Michael Dipietro’s numbers continue to slowly improve after appearing two games this past week. With the 6-1 win over Owen Sound this week, DiPietro picked up his 79th career OHL win, which was a new club record for the Spitfires.

United States

USHL

• Matthew Thiessen had a bit of a rough week since our last update. Losing 6-3 to Youngstown and then 8-3 to the U17 USNDTP. Dubuque does have two games against Waterloo this weekend.

NCAA

• Quintin Hughes has leaped to the front of the Canucks prospects in the NCAA after a one goal and two-goal performance this weekend. He was held off the scoresheet in Michigan’s other game this past weekend.

• Tyler Madden was held off the scoresheet in both games for Northeastern
• William Lockwood continues to sit at two goals on the season.
• Jack Rathbone FINALLY made his NCAA regular season debut this past week and picked up an assist (which is below). He played well with about 14 minutes of ice-time.

Europe

Russia

• Artyom Manukyan was held off the scoresheet in both games this week and was on the fourth line for their contest today.
• Nikita Tryamkin has been a talking point recently but continues to struggle to put up points after another week of being held off the scoresheet. He did get in a fight yesterday:

Finland

• Toni Utunen was held off the scoresheet over two Liiga games this week. He was named to the Finnish roster for the U20 Four Nations Cup, which is usually a lead up to the Finnish World Junior camp. A good showing at the Four Nations can go a long way to getting an invite.

Sweden

• Kristoffer Gunnarsson was unable to register any points this past week and is currently playing.

Czech Republic

• Dmitry Zhukenov made his move to the Czech Republic this week and appeared in one game for LHK Jestravu Orostejov in the second division. He was ultimately held off the scoresheet, but good to see him back playing again.

AHL

• Where do you even begin with the transactions and injuries down in the AHL?
• Jalen Chatfield and Brendan Gaunce returned from injury and have since been recalled by the Canucks. Richard Bachman was recalled earlier in the week to cover for the injured Anders Nilsson in Vancouver.
• Adam Gaudette and Alex Biega are up with the Canucks.
• Guillaume Brisebois was sent back to the AHL earlier this week, while Archibald was re-assigned and then recalled.
• Kole Lind, Ashton Sautner, Wacey Hamilton, and Reid Boucher are at various points in injury recovery.
• The Comets recalled Reid Gardiner from Kalamazoo and signed Conor Lacouvee (G) to a PTO.

• Thatcher Demko is still recovering from the concussion suffered in training camp but has been making progress since the last update.

ECHL

• At this moment, the Canucks have no prospects in the ECHL.
