We are back with everyone’s favourite prospect report, Blackfish.
This week, the Vaxjos Lakers have moved onto the CHL finals at the expense of Liberec and Lukas Jasek. Kole Lind continues his torrid pace and Jonah Gadjovich continues to miss games.
In the net – Thatcher Demko and Michael DiPietro continue to excel in their respective leagues.
Let’s dive in!
All the images of stats are from Elite Prospects.

CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUE

Western Hockey League

alt
  • Three games and three points for 2017 2nd round pick, Kole Lind. He is now on a thirteen game point streak, which includes 10 goals and 13 assists. He is first on the Rockets in scoring, 23rd in the WHL, but is 7th in points per game.
  • Jakub Stukel picks up one goal and one assist in three games this past week for the Calgary Hitmen. He remains on their first line.

Ontario Hockey League

alt
  • We have a new points leader in among the OHL Canucks prospects as Matt Brassard passes Jonah Gadjovich to claim the title. He has played almost twice a many games though. Brassard had one goal and two assists over the last seven days. He has been playing a lot of minutes for the Generals and has been playing fairly well. Good signs from a 7th round pick.
  • Jonah Gadjovich did not dress for any games this past week as he has an ‘illness’. No word on when he will return or what ails him.
  • Brett McKenzie picked up one assist in four games with Owen Sound. He is firmly in their 2nd line centre spot but if production picks up, he may start to lose ice time.
  • Second week in a row that Cole Candella had one assist in three games.
