Blackfish: CanucksArmy Prospect Report – January 11th, 2018

The World Juniors are in the rearview mirror with a couple Canucks prospect picking up medals for their countries.
In the CHL, the trading deadlines have passed with one Canucks prospect being moved while another that had been rumoured to possibly being on the move ended up staying with his team.

CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUE
Western Hockey League
- Another week passes and Kole Lind continutes to put up points. Since last week, he had one goal and three assists in three games. Extending his point streak to 10 games – he has 9 goals and 11 assists during that time.
- Jakub Stukel continues to quietly put together a good second half – he had two goals and one assist in four games this past week. He was not moved at the trading deadline, so he will finish the season with the Hitmen.
Ontario Hockey League
- Jonah Gadjovich returns to the OHL as a gold medal winner! He appeared in one game this past week but was held without a point. He missed todays’ contest due to illness.
- Brett McKenzie finally dressed for the Owen Sound Attack after being traded there last week. He had one goal and one assist in three games. He played on a line with Gadjovich and Nick Suzuki on the weekend.
- Matt Brassard continues to put together a decent season – this past week he had two goals and one assist in three games for the Generals.
- Cole Candella had one assist in three games.

- Michael DiPietro ended up staying with the Windsor Spitfires despite interest from a few teams. They gutted their team and are rebuilding which means that DiPietro may see his numbers dip in the second half.
NCAA
- Gaudette continues to pile up the points with three goals and two assists over the past week. He is tied for first in NCAA scoring.
- William Lockwood’s season appears to be done as he will undergo surgery to repair his injured shoulder.
USHS
- Rathbone appears to be still sidelined with an injury
EUROPE
Sweden
- Elias Pettersson returned to Vaxjo’s lineup today – playing centre. He is expected to remain there for the next two weeks. He was held without a point toay.
- Rodrigo Abols is on loan to BIK Karlskoga in Allsvenskan
- Another week and no points for Gunnarsson.
- Jonathan Dahlen had himself a decent week with three goals and one assist in two games since last Thursday. He is ranked first in points per game in Allsvenskan. He is expected to make a decision about moving to SHL later next week.
- Abols appeared in two games for BIK – did not register a point.
Finland
- Petrus Palmu with three assists in three games over the past week.
- Olli Juolevi returned to TPS’ lineup today – he registered a secondary assist.
Russia
- Nikita Tryamkin registered one goal and two assists in four games over the past week. He is still in the running for “Russian” Olympic team.
- Dmitry Zhukenov appeared in one KHL game – he was held without a point.
Czech Republic
- Lukas Jasek with zero points in one game this past week.
AHL
- Since our last update – Cliff Watson was released from his professional tryout
- Reid Boucher was re-assigned to the Comets and has torn it up since.
- Nikolay Goldobin remains with the Canucks.
