Blackfish: CanucksArmy Prospect Report – February 1st, 2018

alt
It’s a new month, but that doesn’t mean that the prospect reports stop!
Kole Lind continues his point streak, while Jonah Gadjovich makes his return to the lineup. In the AHL, Thatcher Demko and Reid Boucher helped led the North Division to the AHL All-Star Game(s) championship.
On the other side of the pond, Elias Pettersson continues to do his thing and Olli Juolevi was a healthy scratch (oh, the drama!).
All this and more in everyone’s favorite prospect report, Blackfish
All the images of stats are from Elite Prospects.

CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUE

Western Hockey League

alt
  • 2017 2nd round pick Kole Lind stretched his point streak to 19 points with points in all three contests this past week. He finished the week with 3 goals and 1 assist in three games. He has 15 goals and 21 assists during this 19 game point streak.
  • Jakub Stukel continues to put the puck in the back of the net with two goals in two game. He is a mainstay on the Hitmen’s first line.

Ontario Hockey League

alt
  • Defenceman Matt Brassard continues to put together an impressive second half to his season. He had one goal and two assists in three games this past week for Oshawa.
  • Jonah Gadjovich made his return to the Owen Sound lineup this week – appearing in three games and picking up one assist. His production is clearly related to coming back his illness, so there isn’t anything to be concerned about right now.
  • Brett McKenzie found the back of the net twice this week for Owen Sound. Including this shorthanded tally.
  • Cole Candella was held to one assist in four games this week for Sudbury. To start the year, I thought Candella would be a player who could take off – it just hasn’t happened. The Canucks retain his rights until June 1.

  • Adam Gaudette was named the Hockey East Player of the Month after picking up 7 goals and 7 assists in 8 games. For the past seven days, he had 2 goals and one assist in two games. You can see Adam Gaudette on Monday on TSN Go, as Northeastern takes on Boston College.
  • William Lockwood’s season is done due to injury- he had successful should surgery this past week.

USHS

  • I give up on Jack Rathbone – he still has two goals and four assists on the stat sheet…. but Dexter has played three games since our last update, and there is no boxscore (that I can locate). Rathbone exists and we know the Canucks drafted him.
