Another week in the books for Canucks prospects as World Junior evaluation camps kick off – that also means there is a bit of a break in Europe as the various tournaments get underway.
The Canucks are well represented at the World Junior camps and fans are hopeful that they make the final cuts.
Without further ado – let’s dive in and see how they did over the past week.

CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUE

Western Hockey League

  • Kole Lind appeared in two games before heading to the WJHC evaluation camp – he had one goal and one assist in those games.
  • Jakub Stukel has picked it up a bit – he had two goals in the three games this past week.

Ontario Hockey League

  • Jonah Gadjovich was limited to one goal in two OHL games before heading to Niagara for the WJHC evaluation camp.
  • Cole Candella continues to put up points – with four assists in three games this past week.
  • Brett McKenzie held to one assist in three games for North Bay.
  • Matt Brassard with two goals in this past 7 days.

  • Michael DiPietro picks up a win in his lone game with Windsor this week – like Lind and Gadjovich, he is in Niagara for the World Juniors camp.

NCAA

  • Gaudette had one goal and two assists in his only contest since last week.
  • Lockwood was held off the board for Michigan and has left for the USA WJHC evaluation camp.

USHS

  • Dexter has started their season – Still no stats available for Rathbone

EUROPE

Sweden

  • Pettersson was held off the score sheet in SHL action this week (only one game) – but was able to score for Vaxjo in Champions Hockey League play. The Lakers move onto the semi-finals and will face Liberec in early January. He is off to Sweden’s WJHC evaluation camp, which starts tomorrow.
  • After picking up a point last week – Rodrigo Abols back to pointless week.
  • Kristoffer Gunnarsson is still without a point this season.

Finland

  • Petrus Palmu picked up two goals over the last 7 days – the diminutive forward is getting his feet back under him after a slow spell. He continues to play on the second line for TPS.
  • Olli Juolevi assisted on Palmu’s goal above – he is off to compete for Finland at the World Juniors.

Russia

  • Nikita Tryamkin was held without a point in two games for Avtomobilist.
  • Dmitry Zhukenov remains with Omskie Yastreby in the MHL – he has 3 goals and 9 assists in 15 games with them.

Czech Republic

  • Lukas Jasek with zero points in four games this past week.

AHL

  • Dylan Blujus was signed to a PTO
  • Ashton Sautner was recalled by the Canucks earlier today.
  • Thatcher Demko was returned to the Utica Comets earlier this week.

ECHL

There are currently no Canucks prospects in the ECHL. Michael Garteig and Danny Moynihan were re-assigned to the Wings earlier this week.
