Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
The Canucks ended 2022 with a tough 3-2 loss to the Calgary Flames and moved even further away from the last playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Vancouver will kick off 2023 with an extremely tough make or break January schedule starting tonight against the New York Islanders. Here are three bets I like for the game.
Nelson is having an incredible season and has 15 shots in his last three games, which is an average of 5 per game. I think his over is easy money tonight.
Elias Pettersson and Matthew Barzal to score a point at -110. My $10 bet would return $19.09.
Pettersson has scored a point in each of his last five games totalling 10 points in the span. Barzal has scored a point in four of his last five games totalling seven points in that span.
Ilya Sorokin to register 26 or more saves at -182. My $10 bet would return $15.50.
Contrary to popular belief the Islanders are not among the league leaders in shots against, they give up 31.6 per game. Sorokin has saved an average of 35 shots per game in his last three road games.
Last Game Bets
Tyler Toffoli to register over 2.5 shots at -138. My $10 bet would return $17.27.- MISSED
Vancouver to score a power play goal at +110. My $10 bet would return $21.- MISSED
Andrei Kuzmenko to score a goal at +240. My $5 bet would return $17. – MISSED
A brutal zero for three just when we started to gain some momentum. We are now up only $3.47 on the year.
