Betway Bets of the Day: Bet on the over 6.5 as the Canucks visit Anaheim

Despite being outshot 40-17, the Canucks were able to knock off the hottest team in hockey, the LA Kings, 3-2 in a shootout. JT Miller continued his string of strong play scoring two points and the game winner in the shootout.

The Canucks will complete the California back to back against the Anaheim Ducks. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.

The bookies have recently moved Pettersson’s line to 3.5, thus why we’ve taken it a lot less, but Anaheim gives up the most shots in the NHL and we’re going to hammer it tonight.

A late power play goal saved the Canucks last night against the Kings. I like them a lot here against the 31st ranked Anaheim Ducks penalty kill. Anaheim also ranks top five in penalties taken, so Vancouver will likely have at least a few opportunities.

The game to end with over 6.5 goals at -125. My $10 bet would return $18.

Yes, the Canucks have been playing much better defensively recently, but much of that can be attributed to Thacher Demko masking their deficiencies.

Vancouver and Anaheim are ranked 32nd and 29th in goals against this season and I expect another high scoring affair tonight, with Collin Delia presumably in net.
