Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
Rich Tocchet won his first game as coach of the Vancouver Canucks with a 5-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. Vancouver dominated all night long outshooting the Hawks 48-14.
Vancouver will travel down south and take on their closest geographical rival in the Seattle Kraken. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.
Player Prop
Bo Horvat to register over 2.5 shots at -110. My $10 bet would return $19.09.
There’s plenty of speculation linking Canucks captain Bo Horvat to the Seattle Kraken, this could be a live audition for Bo and I expect him to be all over the ice.
Special Teams
Elias Pettersson to register a power play point at +130. My $10 would return $23.
Pettersson has been quiet on the powerplay recently but Seattle’s penalty kill is 31st in the league. I like Pettersson to jump-start a struggling Canucks PP tonight.
Outright
Seattle Kraken to win money-line at -181. My $10 bet would return $15.50.
Vancouver is a perfect 6-0 against the Seattle Kraken, but this is not the same Kraken team as year one. Vancouver is outmatched here on a second night of a back to back.
Last Game Bets
Bo Horvat to register over 2.5 shots at -134. My $10 bet would return $17.50.  – HIT
Vancouver to score a powerplay goal at -134. My $10 bet would return $17.50. – MISSED
Canucks to win money-line and Elias Pettersson to register a point at -143. My $10 bet would return $17.00.- HIT
The Canucks’ PP cost us a perfect three-for-three. We staked $30 and returned $34.50, we are now up $69.53 on the year.
