Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
A strong night from Coquitlam’s Mathew Barzal helped propel the New York Islanders to a 6-2 to win over the Canucks. Vancouver has now lost three straight games.
Things don’t get much easier for Vancouver as they’re facing the defending cup champion Colorado Avalanche next. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.
Player Prop
Mikko Rantanen to register ove 3.5 shots at -110. My $10 bet would return $19.09.
Rantanen led the league in shots per game in December and has tallied 40 shots in his last seven games which is an average of 5.7 per game. I like rolling with the over tonight.
Special Teams
Vancouver to score a power play goal +110. My $10 bet would return $21.
Although the Canucks power play has struggled a bit recently they operate at a 25% clip which would be the highest mark in Canucks franchise history. Colorado has a below-average PK, I like the Canucks to get a PP goal.
Special Teams #2
Colorado to score a power play goal at -150. My $10 bet would return $16.66.
The Canucks’ notoriously play high-event hockey so I like them to score and give up a power play goal tonight. Colorado’s PP operates at the same 25% clip whereas Vancouver is still last in the league on the PK.
Last Game Bets
Brock Nelson to register over 2.5 shots at -143. My $10 bet would return $17.00 – MISSED
Elias Pettersson and Matthew Barzal to score a point at -110. My $10 bet would return $19.09. – MISSED
Ilya Sorokin to register 26 or more saves at -182. My $10 bet would return $15.50 – MISSED
Another tough night, sometimes you’re hot sometimes you’re cold. We are now down $26.43 on the year.
