Game 2 is tonight for the Vancouver Canucks and Nashville Predators, except there’s a massive lineup change. Thatcher Demko has been ruled out for tonight’s game, which certainly affects tonight’s bets.
Today’s expected goaltender matchups for our highlighted game:
The Nashville Predators’ Juuse Saros (35-24-5) vs. The Vancouver Canucks’ Casey DeSmith (12-9-6).

Nashville Predators / Vancouver Canucks Total Over 5.5 (-125)

A $10.00 bet would return $18.00.
With the Demko injury news, it was a much easier decision to go with this play.
I touched on this play in my NHL Betting Preview earlier, but will add these points. The Canucks have gone over this total in five of their last seven, while the Predators have gone over in five straight games.
Historically, these two teams have gone over in seven of their last eight matchups. Both Vancouver (3.4) and Nashville (3.3) ranked in the top 10 in the regular season in goals for per game.

J.T. Miller Assist (-110)

A $10.00 bet would return $19.09.
J.T. Miller has 10 assists in seven of his last nine games. In Rogers Arena this season, Miller has an assist in 57% of all home games but totals 40 of his 66 assists. Against the Predators, he has an assist in five of his last 10 games, including one in game 1.
Something to watch: In game 1, Miller’s line was matched up against the Michael McCarron line (the Predators’ fourth line). While their line only capitalized once, Miller wasn’t in on the play. Miller’s line dominated play, outshooting them 7-2 when on the ice. If this matchup continues, expect Miller to get on the scoresheet tonight.

Last Game Recap:

Edmonton Oilers Moneyline & Connor McDavid Point – WON – (+$7.14)
Adrian Kempe Over 2.5 Shots on Goal – WON – (+$7.50)
Back-to-back sweep. The Oilers and McDavid dominate the Kings, registering five assists. Apparently, the magic number was five, as Adrian Kempe finished with five shots on goal.
All-Time Record: 12-11 (-$16.14)
