Betway Bets of the Day: Bet on Auston Matthews to torch the Ducks’ penalty-kill
By Niqhil1 month ago
Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
Wednesday will only have two games scheduled in the NHL, headlined by Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs continuing their California road trip as they visit the Anaheim Ducks.
Toronto did the Canucks a favour last night by defeating the LA Kings, who are six points behind the Canucks for top spot in the Pacific, but also hold three games in hand. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s NHL games.
Tavares has been on a shooting spree of late registering over 3.5 shots in 11 out of his last 12 games, this line against an Anaheim team that’s bottom ten in the NHL in shots against centres is astonishing.
This is a full unit play.
Austin Matthews to register a power-play point at +140. My $10 bet would return $24.
This is another line where I am pretty shocked at, the value here is excellent. On the surface the Ducks have a buck average penalty-kill ranking 16th in the league, but when you look at the data they also take by far the most penalties in the league.
Toronto has a lethal power-play and when you give them too many chances they’ll make you play, especially their marksmen Auston Matthews.
Take this play at .8 units.
Jack Hughes to register over 3.5 shots at -150. My $10 bet would return $16.66.
Hughes has been extremely inconsistent generating shot of late hitting his over 3.5 in only two of his last four games, this has caused his line to drop from 4.5 to 3.5, which is a spot that I will take Hughes every time.
The former first overall pick has registered over 3.5 shots in his last four matchups against the Capitals, take this play at .8 units.
Last Game Bets
Elias Pettersson to register over 2.5 shots at -175. My $12.50 bet would return $19.76 – HIT
JT Miller to register a power-play point at +140. My $10 bet would return $24. – HIT
Elias Pettersson to register two or more points at +155. My $10 bet would return $25.50.
A nice no sweat day as all the bets hit in the first period. We staked $32.5o and returned $69.26, we are now up$195.70(15.6 units) on the season.
We’re now halfway to our season goal of winning 30 units!
