Another New CA Podcast Episode 2: Jim Benning is Good for Business

Hello all, we’ve managed to record for two consecutive weeks in a row, which I would consider a win. Last week’s episode was already a little outdated by the time it was published because the already infamous Erik Gudbranson trade occurred on the day in between recording and posting. Well now all you lovely people get to hear our thoughts on the big deal.
I’ve come around a little bit on the idea of Gudbranson being a top four defenceman, at least when placed with an offensive player like Ben Hutton, and with Tanev and Edler taking the tough matchups. There’s still no defending the loss of value in that trade, regardless of whether it’s comparable to deals like the one the Oilers made last year for Griffin Reinhart.
Anyways, all that and plenty more will be covered in this week’s edition of the newest iteration of the Canucks Army podcast.

The Rundown

  • 2:00 – Erik Gudbranson?!

Some Extra Notes
Yes, we still have some kinks to work out with audio quality, but cut us some slack, we’re spreadsheet nerds, not techno geeks. We’re working on it.
We’re also working on adding the podcast to other platforms, particularly iTunes. If you have any other ideas in that regard, let us know in the comments. Also feel free to let us know how terrible our opinions are and how much you hate the sound of our voices. Just don’t say anything bad about Sven Baertschi or I’ll know you’re just trollin’.
