> Young Guns Galore: Nazem Kadri and Keith Aulie join Mario Bliznak as rookie call up’s looking to stick around with their clubs. Kadri will be looking to add some scoring touch to a corps which is almost dead last in putting the puck in the net. Aulie will be on the third pairing and hopes to help a blueline still adjusting without captain Dion Phanuef. Bliznak is looking to stick around a few more games  and got off to a good start in Ottawa where the fourth line added two goals, including Bliznak’s first NHL goal.

> This Ain’t Communist Sweden: I lost count of how many giveaways the Canucks handed to the Senators in the first period on Thursday. Everyone got into the swing of it and it took a dominant third to forget the errors of the first. Vancouver won’t get many more points on this road trip if that sloppy trend continues.
