On today’s episode of Canucks Conversation, we were joined by Abbotsford Canucks head coach Jeremy Colliton. We spoke with Colliton about the recent success of his team, the recent additions of Vasily Podkolzin and Jack Rathbone, and spoke about developing the younger players in the Canucks’ organization.
Here’s a clip of Colliton talking about the task of developing 2021 second round pick Danila Klimovich, who is still just 19 years old.

Colliton talked about how he’s had to show Klimovich some tough love to remind him of the standard that he wants to hold his players to. Colliton seems to have a really good understanding of not killing a young player’s confidence and making sure that a player is always going to benefit from the decisions that he makes as a coach.
Colliton also mentioned that he wants to get Vasily Podkolzin killing penalties, and that he’s been doing plenty of film sessions with the young Russian.
