Canucks Army Podcast – Episode 17 – 2016-17

We’re back in the studio this week, discussing all things Canucks as they tumble down the standings towards another bottom five finish.

Specifically, we’re discussing Canucks general manager Jim Benning’s most recent radio hits and the content therein and how that effects Vancouver down the stretch. We also discuss the future of embattled Canucks head coach Willie Desjardins, and a myriad of other topics. You’ll just have to listen!

I do disagree with what you said about putting Megna in waivers; it delivers an uncomfortable message to both the coaching staff and the players that there isn’t confidence in the coach’s lineup decisions. This would be okay if it was a part of it previously, but this organization has given full autonomy to Desjardins previously. How do you feel as a player if suddenly it seems like Desjardins is a dead man walking? His opinion doesn’t bear as much weight, or at least, you have one more thing on your mind you didn’t previously when you were in the arena. I thought several times that waiving Megna might’ve been the best option, but I can totally see why the management is reluctant to undermine the coach.
