The first Sunday of the 2023/2024 season will only feature two games. Starting in Ottawa, the Senators will host the Lightning, and in Anaheim, the Ducks will host the Hurricanes.

Here are three bets I like for tonight’s games.

Batherson has averaged three shots a game this young season and has registered 17 in his last four games dating back to the pre-season. I like his line a lot here at just -125 against a Tampa team that’s given up 36.5 shots against per game so far this season.

Steven Stamkos to register over 2.5 shots at -150. My $12.5o bet would return $20.83.

Stamkos has registered eight shots in two games this season, including a six shot outing Saturday against the Red Wings.

Anaheim to score under 2.5 goals at -134. My $10 bet would return $17.50.

Carolina gave up the second fewest goals in 2022/2023 and Anaheim scored the second fewest goals in 2022/2023. We will risk .8 units here.

Brock Boeser to register over 2.5 shots at -125. My $12.50 bet would return $22.50.  – MISSED

Connor McDavid to score anytime at -118. My $10 bet would return $18.50. – HIT

Edmonton to score under 4.5 goals at -170. My $12.50 bet would return $19.98. – HIT

Cale Makar to register over 2.5 shots at -160. My $12.50 bet would return $21.20.

Another solid day for us going three for four. We risked $47.50 and returned $59.68, we are now up $68.98 (5.5 units) on the year.
