Jakob Stukel cut from Canucks, returns to WHL

On Tuesday, the Canucks made a large round of cuts, sending six players back to Major Junior. On Wednesday, they made just one, pulling the scissors out on Jakob Stukel and sending him back to the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL.

Canucks invite defenceman Dylan Plouffe to training camp

According to Sportsnet’s Rick Dhaliwal, the Canucks have invited Dylan Plouffe of the Vancouver Giants to training camp. Plouffe had originally signed a PTO with the Florida Panthers, but the team’s training camp was cancelled because of Hurricane Irma. As a result, Plouffe was granted permission from the league to attend the Canucks’ camp instead.
