Welcome back to another edition of Throwback Thursday!
This week in 1995 (Nov. 23), the Vancouver Canucks acquired Esa Tikkanen from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a second-round pick.
It was the start of a short stint for Tikkanen who only played 100 games for the Canucks. In those, however, he was very productive scoring 25 goals and 64 points in the regular season and another five points in six playoff matches.
The Canucks ended up trading Tikkanen alongside Russ Courtnall to the New York Rangers in exchange for Sergei Nemchinov and Brian Noonan in March 1997.
