No positive COVID tests in the NHL bubble

No COVID-19 tests conducted in the NHL’s bubble have come back positive, the NHL says.

It’s an impressive feat for the league to have been able to safely get everyone to Edmonton and Toronto without any outbreaks happening.

A total of 7,245 tests have been administered between August 2 and August 8, with the NHL releasing the numbers Monday. Daily testing continues on all members of the teams’ 52-person travelling parties.

Prior to the teams arriving in the bubbles, there were nearly 50 positive tests found in players.
