The annual young stars tournament has been cancelled, the Vancouver Canucks announced Thursday.

The near-annual event was scheduled to take place Sept. 11-15 in Penticton and feature young stars from the Canucks, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers and Winnipeg Jets.
Originally announced in January, the event has since been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Canucks said.
The Oilers and Flames had pulled out of the tournament in 2018 which left fans with the ability to just watch the Canucks and Jets prospects battle it out. Last year, the tournament didn’t happen at all citing a lack of NHL participants.
