The Canucks wrapped up their 2018 NHL draft by selecting winger Artyom Manukyan with the No. 186 pick and goaltender Matthew Thiessen with the No. 192 pick.
We’ve reached the ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ part of the draft. With their fourth pick in the 2018 draft, the Canucks have selected flashy, offensive defenceman Toni Utunen from Tappara of the Finnish Elite League. Utunen captained Finland to a gold medal at last year’s U-18 World Juniors.
With their third pick in the 2018 NHL draft, the Canucks have selected forward Tyler Madden from the United States Hockey League. The son of former NHLer John Madden will play for Northeastern University in the NCAA next season.
With their second pick in the 2018 NHL draft, the Vancouver Canucks selected righty defenceman Jett Woo from the Moose Jaw Warriors. Woo joins Quinn Hughes, Vancouver’s first-round pick yesterday, as another interesting addition to the Canucks’ pipeline of blueliners.
