    Schedule

    Have a good weekend!

      • TD

From everything that’s been written, he bleeds chances in his own end. If he’s doing that against AHL competition, there is no way he is ready for the NHL. With the lack of forward depth, I would to see him given a try as a winger.

        • Spiel

A responsible NHL defense partner could help mask Subban’s defensive deficiencies.

Seems like there is some serious offensive and powerplay upside that the Canucks could use.

Perhaps while management is keen on chasing a playoff spot, it makes less sense to have a defensive question mark on the roster, but if (when) the Canucks find themselves out of the playoff hunt, they should see what they have with Subban the NHL level.

    • apr

Thanks for keeping up with these. They are definitely a lot more cheerful than the hockey summaries after a shutout. Do you know if Jasek will finally get to play in the AHL next year?

    • Dirk22

Our top Jr. forward prospects are Zhukenov and MacKenzie.

Our top AHL scoring prospects are ….well there aren’t really any that count as prospects as I think the ship has sailed on Grenier.

College is looking a little more optimistic but man are the cupboards bare in terms of forwards. That’s why I stated last week that I’m worried about the expectations that are going to be put on Boeser.

      • Freud

Agreed. Boeser should be solid, but we need to temper expectations.

His hot start came against very weak teams. ND then played an actual conference opponent in Minn-Duluth this past week and Boeser was held scoreless.
