Canucks Player Power Rankings – March 30th, 2015

Another wild week of being a stressed out hockey fan has come and gone. It was just okay.

1. Radim Vrbata:

Radim has been killer this week and hit the 30-goal mark for the second time in his career. In less relevant news, here he is with his pregnant wife back in 2009. This photo has nothing to do with his recent success, but it’s amazing. What a protective man.

2. Chris Tanev:

Chris Tanev has no time for people who don’t love his shiny new fancy stats contract.

3. Henrik Sedin:

Henrik Sedin has more goals than his brother. As Daniel surely reminds him, though, 5 of them are empty netters.

4. Daniel Sedin:

Daniel Sedin reminded the Jets why choosing hockey over soccer at age 16 was not a no-brainer for him.

5. Eddie Lack:

This child is so apprehensive of Eddie Lack. What does she know?

6. Alex Edler:

AE23 had a rough night when the Stars were in town, but at least he made Tyler Seguin throw a tantrum:

7. Nick Bonino:

While Connor McDavid is comparing himself to Tyler Bozak, Jack Eichel recently gave Nick Bonino a shout out when discussing Boston University’s success. Not bad.

8. Jannik Hansen:

Jannik Hansen needed coach’s challenges on goalie interference calls to be introduced, like, yesterday:

9. Chris Higgins:

Higgins scored a couple big goals this week. One of them was on the powerplay. Seriously!

10. Alex Burrows:

Alex Burrows is the best at being the worst.

11. Bo Horvat:

Bo Horvat admits that he’s glued to the out of town scoreboard. Stars! They’re just like us!

12. Dan Hamhuis:

Still goalless, Dan Hamhuis and his ragtag crew of second unit power players defied the odds.

13. Yannick Weber:

Yannick Weber has 3 goals since March 22nd. Shea Weber has 0. I think we know who the superior Weber is. Shea Weber has missed the past 2 games with an injury but let’s let Yannick have this.

14. Ronalds Kenins:

What’s Latvian for regression? According to Google, it’s “atgreišanās”.

15. Shawn Matthias:

According to Radim Vrbata, Shawn Matthias is most scared is playing on a line with the Sedins. If that’s true, I wonder where playing on a line Dorsett and Vey ranks on his list of biggest fears.

16. Kevin Bieksa:

Kevin Bieksa wins the Nicest Teammate Award this week! After game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals, Kevin Bieksa described Chris Tanev as “nothing like a young Kevin Bieksa”. Almost four years later, Bieksa still has only good things to say:

18. Luca Sbisa:

Luca Sbisa, Captain of the Canucks B team, insisted that his ilk showed up against the Avalanche.

19. Derek Dorsett:

Whoever runs hockeyfights had a little bit too much fun with the Dorsett’s throwback uniform:

20. Ryan Miller:

Ryan Miller’s dog met Ryan Miller’s baby and wow. Just wow.

It’s #NationalPuppyDay !! Puck meeting his baby brother for the first time ??

21. Jacob Markstrom:

Jacob Markstrom did not play this week and as far as we know, his dog did not meet any babies.

22. Zack Kassian, Brad Richardson, Ryan Stanton, and Brandon McMillan:

These guys didn’t do anything. Hopefully Brad and Zack get healthy. Hopefully McMillan remains ghostly and unseen.
