While knocking back a few with fellow Canucks Army writer, Kristian Urstad,  the topic of discussion ironically (if I were to use ironically in the completely  wrong way) ended up on the Canucks and their prospects for the upcoming season. So, we're chugging along, dissecting line possibilities, potential cuts and he hits me with this-

"With this line up, it would be a disappointment if the Canucks didn't win 2 or 3 Stanley Cups." (Now that might me more paraphrasing than actual quoting, but, Kristian,  if you feel like suing, just remember I have no money).

The Edmonton Oilers are 2-0, but they could easily be 0-2. If it wasn't for Nikolai Khabibulin, who swiped a couple of points in a 3-2 win over the Florida Panthers Sunday, the mood around town might be considerably different today than what it is.

On November 27, 2007 we launched OilersNation.com roughly 45 days past our target date of the start of the season. January 28, 2008 we launched FlamesNation.ca, a mere 27 days past our deadline of "New Years or bust." April 10, 2009 saw the launch of CanucksArmy.com completely missing our goal of "catching the wave of playoff drive fever."
