Oh, man, I bet Daniel is gonna score that goal.
Sorry, Shane. Must have been a long night at the Roxy the night before.

Game Day Recon: Game #57 - Avalanche @ Canucks
The last time that the Colorado Avalanche played in Vancouver, it didn't go well for the Rocky Mountain Men. The Canucks administered a 6-0 walloping, and the Sedins were on fire. That's probably the last truly dominant game that the Sedins have had this season. Since then, and certainly in the last month, the Sedins have been mired in a slump - at least by their standards, anyway.
In three previous meetings this season, the Canucks are undefeated against the Avalanche, and a game against the Avs at home is exactly what the Sedins need to get back onto their usual dominant track.

Look at Vancouver. On the surface, the Canucks are a perfect match. Nash is the kind of player Vancouver would consider trading Cory Schneider for. Add Cody Hodgson, Chris Tanev, maybe another piece and voila, you've got what looks like a pretty fair trade.
This comes from CBC's Elliotte Friedmann this morning in a column discussing the rumours regarding Rick Nash's trade from the Columbus Blue Jackets. Yesterday, a report surfaced that the team would be willing to discuss a trade for their franchise captain, the only man you could possibly associate with the Blue Jackets. Is Vancouver, like Elliotte suggests, a possible landing spot?

David Booth has been extraordinarily unlucky over the past couple of seasons, both in terms of his health and in terms of the bounces. Sometimes, however, the slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune can in fact work in one's favour. Booth's slow-start in Miami this October was driven by the percentages, and were partly what caused him to be shipped off to Vancouver in exchange for Mikael Samuelsson and Marco Sturm. Upon his arrival in the Northwest, Booth's luck didn't change: it took him seven games, twenty-two shots and one hell of a second effort to tally his first goal as a member of the Canucks.

Wayne Gretzky is angry. And so am I.
But at least he's wearing a suit in this photo and not a traitorous sweater.

Today I continue my weekly feature of me venting and raging on stupid crap happening with the Canucks, their fans and around the NHL. Two things about feature... 1) It will appear (hopefully) every Monday (this week, Tuesday!), and 2) It is blatantly ripped off from a stand-up bit from comedian Craig Anton. On either point, I make no apologies. Enjoy. Or don't.
This week, I throw an egregious elbow to the head of Mike Milbury, bleach baths and Linsanity.
