There were a handful of topics to focus on heading into Sunday's game between the Vancouver Canucks and Buffalo Sabres: Daniel Sedin was making his return to the lineup. As was teammate Ryan Kesler. Captain Henrik Sedin was being honoured with a pregame ceremony for reaching the 1000-game mark for his career a while back.
But even with all of that in mind, we naturally couldn't help but be drawn back to the Zack Kassian v. Cody Hodgson discussion, which I figure will never stop being a thing. Not that one random regular season game in March means anything in the grand scheme of things, but let the record show that Kassian decidedly laid waste to his contemporary, much like the Canucks did to their (even more) beleaguered opposition.

We're trying something new here at Canucks Army in an attempt to keep morale up in the closing weeks of the regular season. Just because the team we're covering is halfheartedly finishing off their remaining slate of games doesn't mean we can't try and make the most of them.
Thanks to @SchneidersTeeth's expertise we're going to try and keep a running thread going during Canucks games, as we highlight the more relevant moments that have taken place in GIF form.

A few months back, I was surprised to find out that CoHo Apparel was a real thing. But by all accounts it appears to in no way be some sort of stunt or prank, which is definitely interesting; you figure that someone in the operation would've stopped and thought to themselves "hmm, maybe we should avoid referring to our star's female fans as 'CoHoes'. If we can avoid it we should stay away from that sort of unfortunate wordplay being associated with our brand."
Nope. That obviously didn't happen, and as a result we've been blessed with the unintentional comedy that is Cody Hodgson's clothing line as the former Canuck's epic string of PR blunders continues to truck along.
I guess you could draw some parallels between that and Hodgson's team, the Buffalo Sabres, who themselves are also filled with unintentional comedy, while seeming that they shouldn't really be a thing even though they technically are.
They'll visit Vancouver to play the Canucks on Sunday night, and if you're leaning towards indulging in some March Madness action over this barnburner I wouldn't hold it against you. But for those of you loyal bunch that'll tune in, let's get to the preview..

Earlier this week, Ben Kuzma detailed rookie winger Nicklas Jensen as "an exclamation mark" "determined" "far from an overnight sensation" "cool" with an "all-around awareness and presence."
It seems that people have begun pencilling in Jensen to the Canucks' top six next season, a top six that's painfully lacking in young bodies. Jensen has three goals and five points in just seven games this season and has arguably been the Canucks best player since his call-up.

With the Canucks having a couple days off between games (they don't play again until Sunday afternoon v. Buffalo, and I'm not totally convinced that should actually even count), I figured I'd use this as an opportunity to dust off and bring back the ol' Afternoon Headshots.
I've gone ahead and compiled a list of some of the more interesting nuggets of goodness I've come across on the interwebs recently, in the hopes that it'll spark some conversation and maybe even shed some light on a thing or two that you haven't come across yourself already.
