The Canucks have found their way back into the win column and I figured that's as good a reason as any to get me back into the.. headshots.. column. Or something.
Anyways, things are looking moderately less bleak in the land of Canucks at the moment and this has everyone just a little less on edge. It's great. I haven't even seen so much as a "shapheat" develop since their last loss, I might add. What I have seen, however, is a ton of great local content on the Canucks and I'll try to bring it all your way, right after the jump.

That was from Sunday night via our GIF guy Schneider's Teeth, during the 2nd period of their 4-2 victory over the Buffalo Sabres which in essence extended the "they're still alive!" discussion for another couple of days.
Unfortunately, that belief - which was really being kept afloat by only the utmost of optimists to begin with - lasted for less than 24 hours. News broke this afternoon that Henrik Sedin will be put on the shelf for ~2 weeks, as per reported by
V ancouver Canucks beat reporter TVA Sports' Renaud Lavoie.
Nail, meet the coffin.. for the final time in 2013-14.

Team MVP for the Vancouver Canucks back in '05-'06, pictured above.
Quick trivia question: who was the last Vancouver Canucks goaltender to start a game before Roberto Luongo took over in October of 2006? It wasn't Alex Auld, even though Auld was handed the reigns down the stretch drive of the 2005-2006 season as the Canucks pushed for a playoff spot.

There were a handful of topics to focus on heading into Sunday's game between the Vancouver Canucks and Buffalo Sabres: Daniel Sedin was making his return to the lineup. As was teammate Ryan Kesler. Captain Henrik Sedin was being honoured with a pregame ceremony for reaching the 1000-game mark for his career a while back.
But even with all of that in mind, we naturally couldn't help but be drawn back to the Zack Kassian v. Cody Hodgson discussion, which I figure will never stop being a thing. Not that one random regular season game in March means anything in the grand scheme of things, but let the record show that Kassian decidedly laid waste to his contemporary, much like the Canucks did to their (even more) beleaguered opposition.

We're trying something new here at Canucks Army in an attempt to keep morale up in the closing weeks of the regular season. Just because the team we're covering is halfheartedly finishing off their remaining slate of games doesn't mean we can't try and make the most of them.
Thanks to @SchneidersTeeth's expertise we're going to try and keep a running thread going during Canucks games, as we highlight the more relevant moments that have taken place in GIF form.
