I'm not a tattoo guy myself, but I have a certain respect for fans with enough passion for their team that they'll get a logo, or a favorite player's number, or some variation thereof etched permanently onto their skin. At the very least, anyone willing to spend the money and risk having their tattoo turn into wrinkly gibberish as they age, earns the right to forever get a pass from accusations of being a bandwagon fan. In fact, I think that's kind of the point.

Bieksa and Henrik help David Booth off the ice following a knee-on-knee collision in last night's game.
Just as he was "heating up," David Booth looks like he'll be out of the lineup for a while following a careless, and scary knee-on-knee hit from Kevin Porter. The power-forward was just starting to enjoy some puck-luck, and was coming off of a three point game against Calgary. Booth will have an MRI today and be re-evaluated, but the sight of him unable to skate off the ice under his own weight, leads me to suspect that it's a fairly serious injury.

As his percentages continue to normalize, Bieksa's dental PDO took a hit tonight.
A shaky start to a Tuesday night game, but the Vancouver Canucks took advantage of a porous Russian goaltender and pulled away with this game late. The Canucks beat their division (and soon to be Conference) rival Colorado Avalanche 6-0, giving them their second shutout win. This shutout, however, was split, as Roberto Luongo after a strong start, took a puck off the throat and had to leave the game. In came Schneider in a 1-0 game, and he was strong in mop-up duty.

The NHL's Four Realigned Conferences on Google Maps
We've now had a night to sleep on, and digest the four conference realignment plan that the NHL's Board of Governors approved yesterday evening. While there are some things I like, and a few that I don't in regards to the new alignment, I think Gary Bettman and the NHL deserve some credit for pushing through a plan that is admittedly ambitious, interesting and cogent. But how does the new plan impact the Canucks? I figured I'd take a quick look...
