We're almost two full weeks through the NHL Free Agency season, and the Vancouver Canucks have been nothing but a bit player. While teams like the Panthers, Sabres and Flyers have been crazy in the free agent and trade market, the Canucks have stood pat, choosing instead to build their organizational depth.

So who exactly have the Canucks acquired in the past two weeks? Let's take a look!

When your team reaches the Stanley Cup Final and gets within one game of winning, it's pretty hard to rationalize any sweeping changes to your team's roster.

A minor adjustment here... a tweak there... and hulking power forward to play along side Ryan Kesler. You know... the little things.

Well, two out of three ain't bad and we knew the third wasn't going to come easy, fast or cheap.

A good friend of mine, Bryan Tesan, is a teacher at Westridge Elementary in Burnaby.

He and his entire school organized a day to heal and show true community spirit after the riots following Game 7.

Free Agent Follies

As the start of Free Agency approaches, the Canucks management has a few, serious decisions to make on some of their pending free agents.

Do the Canucks try to re-sign everyone, given that their year went almost perfectly according to plan? Do they try some new elements? Do they give up on some organizational projects?

We'll find out starting July 1st, but until then, here's my take on what I think the Canucks should do with their pending free agents.

What have you got ready to conjure up with those magic hands, Mike?
More wizardry? Or another Steve Bernier?

The playoffs are done and the Canucks feel one win short of ultimate glory. The awards have been presented and the Canucks were well honoured.

And now... all of a sudden... we're on to thinking about next season! Free Agency begins in 8 days and the Canucks have some issues with which to contend, starting with the fairly large list of free agents that Mike Gillis and co must either re-sign or let walk.

So ... what do they do next?
