Today I continue my weekly feature of me venting and raging on stupid crap happening with the Canucks, their fans and around the NHL. Two things about feature... 1) It will appear (hopefully) every Monday, and 2) It is blatantly ripped off from a stand-up bit from comedian Craig Anton. On either point, I make no apologies. Enjoy. Or don't.
In this week's edition, I hate on dumb rules. And being "classy" or "classless". And anyone, especially refs, who denies us the glory of Rome.

Game Day Recon: Game #18 - Islanders @ Canucks
The more things change, the more they stay the same. The New York Islanders have an influx of talent. They have young, budding stars, some true snipers and some potentially good goaltending (provided they all stay healthy). But all that being equal, the Isles are once again bringing up the rear of the Eastern Conference standings and have yet to win on the road.
Are the Vancouver Canucks the slumpbusting tonic that the Islanders need to get their first win on the road? Or can the Canucks put a so-so effort in Anaheim in their rearview mirror and return home ready to feast on a lame duck?

Game Day Recon: Game #17 - Canucks @ Ducks
The Vancouver Canucks are stickin' in SoCal as they wrap up their six-game road trip against the Anaheim Ducks in the second half of back-to-back nights. The Ducks are reeling mightily right now, but one thing is certain whenever the Ducks and Canucks play each other.
We are in for one weird game tonight.
