Could there be a more pointless, wholly created controversy than the Great Twinkie Debacle of 2010. For all those out of the loop, the guys at Puck Daddy have gone over all the gory details, made all the appropriate jokes and put everyone firmly in their place.
My Kingdom for a PK

Definitely the look of a typical Kings "hockey fan"
At the end of Shakespeare's Richard the III, the main character, during a battle set on horseback, is left left screaming "A horse!, a horse!, my kingdom for a horse!" It's just meant to show that for all his vaunted power, he eventually gets done in by something so mundane, so pedestrian, so seemingly unimportant as having his stupid horse die on him.

Alright, so, the Canucks lost the last game. Everyone saw it, we all know the Canucks were the better team, so no need to get to worried. Plus if the lineup gets the expected Alberts-ectomy, that should take away the powerplays that give the Kings their only chance at scoring. More important than any lineup change has been the change in Roberto Luongo.
For a while it was a verboten topic. Luongo had lost his confidence. People didn't want to admit it, but the fans, even his most ardent, die-hard supporters, had lost a little faith. With voices cracking, we'd say to ourselves "When it matters, he'll be there" or "just wait for the playoffs, he'll turn it around." I was skeptical, dubious and any other adjective that shows doubt, but.......
Yet Another Sedin Story

Yeah, yeah, another Henrik Sedin article. The internet is already awash with them, but hey, let's enjoy this. Who knows when this will happen again? Whether debating his Hart Trophy candidacy or just the shock of of a non Ovechkin/Crosby scoring champ, the Henrik Sedin bandwagon seems to be a tad bit fuller then ever before.
Even out here on the West Coast, we were slow to warm to the magic of the Sedins. The hardest thing to do as a sports fan is admit that you've been wrong. It's embarrassing, so we pathologically try to find ways to justify our original opinion, that may have been jumped to a little too quickly. I have to put myself into the category of people who doubted the Sedins. I always admired there skill and thought they were pretty good, but wondered aloud if they good ever be the number one line on a winning team. I never went so far as to call them the sisters, but I did joke that someone should tell them the net isn't in the corner. They changed a little, the did get better, but that's just excuse making on my part. I was wrong. Everyone should admit it. Many of us were wrong. It feels good try it.
Flames Toast

The Flames are toast. Or Extinguished. They were flickering, but now they've been put out. There, I think I've exhausted every example from the Headline Writers Handbook:Flames Choking Edition. Last night's shootout loss for the Canucks was worth celebrating since the extra point it gave the Avalanche eased the Flames out of the playoff picture. The fact that Flames fans' pain causes celebration on the right side of the Rockies may add anger to their already depressed state of mind. That said, I'm feeling something that may make them even angrier, Pity.
