Game Day Recon: Game #78 - Stars @ Canucks
OMG! Enough of the Dallas Stars already!! After going over a year without playing one another, the Canucks and Stars face off for the fourth time in less than five weeks.
And with the Stars and Canucks playing fairly uninspired hockey against one another, we're pretty much done with the two teams playing each other. Which only means only thing.... it's therefore inevitable that they meet again in this year's playoffs. Sigh.

Game Day Recon: Game #77 - Avalanche @ Canucks
The big question (well, really the ONLY question) is: "Are the Canucks 'going for it'?" Are they gunning for first in the conference and the league? It is certainly in reach and the possibility is there. But with second place firmly in their grasp and their best winger out with a concussion, is there really much point in going pedal to the medal over the balance of the regular season?
Or, at this point, should they simply be worried about making sure their game is in order for the playoffs with a full complement of healthy players?
I vote for the latter, but tonight the Colorado Avalanche will have much to say about that, since they ACTUALLY have something for which to play.

Today I continue my weekly feature of me venting and raging on stupid crap happening with the Canucks, their fans and around the NHL. Two things about feature... 1) It will appear (hopefully) every Monday, and 2) It is blatantly ripped off from a stand-up bit from comedian Craig Anton. On either point, I make no apologies. Enjoy. Or don't.
This week, I hold a scotch in my hand while I shut the door and scold the Canucks remaining schedule, lack of visors, and dubious sellout streaks.

The Good and the Bad of this past week.
It's Friday. So we close out the "Week That Was" with our latest volume of... "Cheers and Jeers!"
This week, I ask for a phone hearing with Duncan Keith, Brendan Shanahan, The G-Man, and HNIC, but I let Shane Doan, Dan Murphy and Kes + Hank walk away scot-free.
