It's not just one thing that has gone wrong in Anaheim this season. It's a combination of everything. Poor goaltending, poor defence, and poor offence has led to a REALLY poor season. And we've only just hit the midway point of the season.
With the fire sale imminent (if you believe those in the know), because of a lack of production from the team's biggest stars and highest paid players, you have to wonder just who will be playing for this team by the end of the year. And... will any of them be wearing Canucks colours in short order?

The Good and the Bad of this past week.
It's Friday. So we close out the "Week That Was" with our latest volume of Cheers and Jeers.
This week, I send Pierre Gauthier to his hotel room to pack, while giving a big stack of congratulatory pancakes to Dustin Penner... and Ken Hitchcock, cuz YOU KNOW that guy likes to eat! AMIRITE?!

Game Day Recon: Game #45 - Canucks @ Blues
The top two teams in the Western Conference face off tonight in St. Louis, as the Blues and Canucks play for first place in the West.
And the Blues go for their third straight win against the Canucks this season, and a win in the season series. Not too bad for a team that was struggling early but used a coaching change to quickly and swiftly right the ship.

Brad Marchand is angry. Not here... Here, he's clearly a stupid, drunken mess.
But he's angry today. And so am I. But I'm guessing we're not angry about the same things.

Today I continue my weekly feature of me venting and raging on stupid crap happening with the Canucks, their fans and around the NHL. Two things about feature... 1) It will appear (hopefully) every Monday, and 2) It is blatantly ripped off from a stand-up bit from comedian Craig Anton. On either point, I make no apologies. Enjoy. Or don't.
This week's edition is the Brad Marchand Special Edition and luckily he's giving folks plenty of material to use to hate him.

Game Day Recon: Game #44 - Canucks @ Lightning
The Vancouver Canucks try to rebound from a sticky, syrupy mess of a game against the Panthers, as they travel across Florida to take on the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight. Luckily, the Lightning's goaltending and defence are two main ingredients in what will hopefully be a delicious stack of rebound pancakes.
