The Good and the Bad of this past week.
It's Friday. So we close out the "Week That Was" with our latest volume of... "Cheers and Jeers!"
This week, I scold Marchand and idiot Canucks fans (it seems like they go hand-in-hand now), and wrap things up in regulation by applauding Luongo and playing hockey for a great cause.

Game Day Recon: Game #57 - Avalanche @ Canucks
The last time that the Colorado Avalanche played in Vancouver, it didn't go well for the Rocky Mountain Men. The Canucks administered a 6-0 walloping, and the Sedins were on fire. That's probably the last truly dominant game that the Sedins have had this season. Since then, and certainly in the last month, the Sedins have been mired in a slump - at least by their standards, anyway.
In three previous meetings this season, the Canucks are undefeated against the Avalanche, and a game against the Avs at home is exactly what the Sedins need to get back onto their usual dominant track.

Today I continue my weekly feature of me venting and raging on stupid crap happening with the Canucks, their fans and around the NHL. Two things about feature... 1) It will appear (hopefully) every Monday (this week, Tuesday!), and 2) It is blatantly ripped off from a stand-up bit from comedian Craig Anton. On either point, I make no apologies. Enjoy. Or don't.
This week, I throw an egregious elbow to the head of Mike Milbury, bleach baths and Linsanity.

Game Day Recon: Game #56 - Coyotes @ Canucks
The Vancouver Canucks return home after an incredibly successful four-game road trip, where they claimed 7 of a possible 8 points. The Canucks haven't exactly been slouches at home either, and 16 of their remaining 27 games are in the friendly confines of Rogers Arena, starting tonight.
The Canucks don't exactly open up this home stretch against a cupcake either. The Phoenix Coyotes have been on fire of late, winning five in a row, including a 3-0 shutout win against the high-flying, high-scoring Chicago Blackhawks. The Canucks will be out to feast on some Hot Dogs, and some home cookin' might just do the trick.
