Good stuff from the traveling Canucks faithful.
They witnessed a doozy last night.

Comraderie. Hugs. Togetherness.
Canucks will need some community spirit to get some goals without their leading goal scorer.

Game Day Recon: Game #74 - Canucks @ Stars
The Vancouver Canucks don't get much time to dwell on the big battle with the Blackhawks last night, or the likely concussion to Daniel Sedin. They immediately boarded a flight to Big D to face the Stars in the second half of back-to-back road games. The scene at the American Airlines Center tonight will surely demonstrate the exact opposite atmosphere as last night. While the United Center was filled to the rafters with screaming fans (some of whom had heard of the team before 2009), Dallas' arena promises to be a nearly desolate wasteland of fandom.
Is this total shift in emotion a good thing for the Canucks tonight, or will the obvious emotional letdown signal guaranteed-loss night?

This zombie is angry. And so am I. She's probably pissed off because
someone ruined the ending of the show while she read about it on Twitter.
Because zombies are complete idiots.

Today I continue my weekly feature of me venting and raging on stupid crap happening with the Canucks, their fans and around the NHL. Two things about feature... 1) It will appear (hopefully) every Monday (this week, Tuesday!), and 2) It is blatantly ripped off from a stand-up bit from comedian Craig Anton. On either point, I make no apologies. Enjoy. Or don't.
This week, I slag on the focus on useless stats, trolling your team's favourite players and bitching about spoilers.

Booth: "When I lift weights, I like to wear my sweet, sweet gloves!
It's SO GOOD when doing curls. Dude, don't you do that too?"
Kesler: "Buds, you are so weird. Now let me get back to playing Air Standup Bass."

Game #70 Preview - Ashes to Ashes, Funk to Funky

Last time out, it was the Booth Show.
Booth and the Canucks, much like Stella, need to get their groove back.

Game Day Recon: Game #70 - Coyotes @ Canucks
The Vancouver Canucks are stuck in a funk - a middling, down-tempo ungroovy funk. Coach Vigneault took to his blender again during Tuesday's practice to mix up the lines, in hopes of shaking the funk out of his star players and getting them back to being funky on the ice. Despite the moderate amount of success the Canucks have had lately, it is clear to everyone around the team that they've hit a wall. At this point, they need to try anything to awake from their slumber, which is quickly reaching a coma-like state.
Tonight against Phoenix, the club, its coaches and its fans hope to see the likes of the Sedins, Luongo, Burrows, Hansen, Raymond, Edler and others rise from the smouldering ashes and soar once again.
