Nathan Longpre and the Wolves did a little too much chasing this week.

Going into last weekend, the Wolves were flying high, having won 6 of 8. Two games since the last update and the results weren't that great. Read on.

The Canucks' goalies are fantastic. Let's talk about that.

During last spring's playoffs, we all remember the endless Luongo versus Schneider debate. None of it was very intelligent; for some bizarre reason, many Canucks fans decided that truth was determined not even by their eyes anymore, but totally by their gut. They didn't think Luongo, despite incredible numers all year long, 'had it,' and instead the basically untested Cory Schneider did.

Eddie Lack's Wolves are playing back-to-back against the Rivermen this weekend
Apologies for the delay in this week's Wolf Prowl, it was a crazy finish to the term for me. We'll be back on our regular schedule this week.
After a slow start to the year, the Wolves seem to be rounding into form. The offence, which had been misfiring, is now finding the back of the net with regularity. The defence still has some causes for concern, but in general has improved. (Special thanks to friend of the blog Wolfkeeper for his continued efforts in putting highlights up on youtube)

Too often this season, the Canucks are doing a terrible job in front of the net.

A strange week for the Canucks: dominance of the Islanders, subjugation by the Hawks, a stolen win vs Ottawa. Luongo won, Schneider lost ugly but won convincingly.
The one thing we did learn this week is the team's problems go far beyond a perceived inconsistency on the part of Roberto Luongo. The real problem lies in bad reads and heads, apparently, in the clouds.

The Wolves won their third straight road game last Friday night, 6-3 over their arch-rival Milwaukee Admirals and play the final game of their current five-game road stretch tomorrow night, again in Milwaukee.
