Things are getting intense over in Sochi with the semi finals set to take place tomorrow morning. Obviously discussing how Canucks prospects are doing these days isn't nearly as fun as talking Canada/USA and what not, but the other leagues around the world have carried on without missing a beat during this NHL Olympic break, so we've got lots to look at as it relates to the former.

After playing the Rochester Americans and then the Rochester Americans (no, that's not a repeat), in back-to-back games, the Utica Comets couldn't wait any another day play a game.

Immediately after finishing their game last night the Comets jumped on a bus and drove the four and a half hours to Toronto to partake in their third contest in three days, as they took on the well-rested Marlies.

With the hopes of quickly forgetting the results of last night's 7-3 loss to Rochester, the Utica Comets partook in a back-to-back against that very Amerks squad, but this time on their own terms at the Utica Auditorium.

This game made for much more pleasant viewing from a Comets perspective; Joacim Eriksson made sure to bring his A-Game after he was pulled early last night, and the #JensenTrain continued to gain more steam.

Read on past the jump for a recap of their 2-1 revenge victory.

While the Comets have recently been reloaded with all of their players being returned to them due to the Olympic break, it wasn't nearly enough to stop the Rochester Americans last night.

With recent injuries to Canucks prospects Henrik Tommernes and Peter Andersson the back-end for the Comets was severely depleted, so it's not exactly a total surprise that they were giving out goals against like they were hot cakes.
