It's Summer, which means it's time for fun. As the articles fly out awarding teams a Stanley Cup berth before the season even begins, I decided to have a little fun this week with the roundtable.
I asked "If you could pick any one forward, one defenseman and one goalie to start a team right at this moment, who are you picking?"

You may have heard today is the beginning of the Free Agency Frenzy, and there's a lot of teams across the league looking to improve themselves by spending a lot of money on players that they will regret signing 5 minutes after doing so. With that in mind, we went with a free agency themed topic this week. I didn't want to do the basic "Who should the Canucks pursue?" question, because as you may have noticed our fantastic team of writers has tackled each and every option for the past few weeks.
The question instead focused on the teams in dire need of a new start. More after the jump!

You may have heard by now that the NHL Entry Draft is taking place tonight and tomorrow in the great city of Buffalo, New York. (I've never been so don't quote me on this). The Canucks pick is highly discussed, as GM Jim Benning as said on multiple occasions that the pick could be moved at the right price, but he's happy with his selection at 5. There's been varying reports on who the Canucks covet in this slot, but I decided to take the question to the great writers of CA.

It seems as though the NHL is going to take the gamble, and slot a team into Las Vegas for the 2017-18 season. Las Vegas is typically full of excitement with shows, gambling, and enough alcohol to fill an inflatable pool. Will a pro sports franchise work? The NHL seems to think so, as future owner Bill Foley has done many market tests and has over 13,000 season ticket deposits in place. Does a team in Vegas excite you? Our writers discuss in this week's edition of the Canucks Army Roundtable.

After filling in last week for JD, I've officially taken over the roundtable. Frankly, I've always wanted a table and for it to be round is just a bonus. Let's move on.
Darren Dreger of TSN caused quite a stir over the past 24 hours with this remarks that the Canucks could potentially move the 5th overall pick.
and some clarification.
Obviously, it's a hotly contested topic in Canuckland and we decided to ask our writers for their input on the situation. They did not disappoint.
