After going on a roll last week and winning six straight games, the Canucks got a brief taste of what it's like to be a playoff team. However, they now see themselves on the outside looking in after losing all three games on their road trip. They collected two of a possible six points but were able to score an out-of-the-ordinary four goals on Thursday. On the bright side, Bo Horvat is an NHL All-Star!
With that said, let's dive into this week's activities.

Although the Canucks went on a roll and won six straight games, the stories have not stopped. The Canucks claimed Reid Boucher on waivers with the hopes of scoring goals, while Anton Rodin has ample time to rest his knee sitting in the press box. Two points out of a wild-card spot, and the team is arguably exceeding the low expectations once placed at the beginning of the season, and some fans worry about management potentially sacrificing more of the future to push for a playoff spot.
Earlier today, Jim Benning made his first radio appearance of 2017 to discuss these topics and more.

This week, the Canucks continued to turn heads as they extended their win streak to six games. Their recent success led them to momentarily hold a golden wild-card playoff spot, only to be overtaken by Los Angeles the next day. Nonetheless, it was another encouraging week for the Canucks as they won three of four games, with 21 year-old Bo Horvat leading leading the way.

Last night vs. Calgary, Ben Hutton blocked a shot with his left hand and was visibly in discomfort. In a last-minute line-up change, the Canucks announced that he will be sitting out in tonight's rematch in Calgary.
