It seems like just yesterday the NHL made us suffer another lockout.
Regardless of whether you're a fan, a blogger, a media member, or more importantly a player or staff of an NHL team, lockout's suck. When the NHL and NHLPA came to terms on a new collective bargaining agreement, it brought with it a sense of security. Comfort, even, knowing hockey was here to stay.
Unfortunately, it appears the players and owners are starting to move their deck chairs in preparation for another prolonged labour dispute. With this dark timeline in mind, one particular contract caught my eye.

Prior to the Canucks contest against the Washington Capitals on Sunday afternoon, the organization made some roster moves. That was assigned Andrey Pedan and Joseph Labate back to the Utica Comets, and assigned Anton Rodin to the AHL on a conditioning stint.

We have a new CHL scoring leader amongst Canucks prospects.
The NCAA prospects are battered and bruised - but some players got named to their countries WJHC preliminary rosters.
Also - if you haven't heard, the Canucks have a goalie prospect who has been lights out for a while now.

With the Expansion Draft looming over this year's trade deadline, it's becoming a hot topic around the league. Who's going to protect who being the most gabbed about element, naturally.
The dynamics are likely to change by the time we've made it to the draft, but that shouldn't stop the discussion, dissection and preparation. It's not like it'll hurt to keep the three items in mind.
You need to have a plan for now and chart a course for the future.

Another week has passed in the hockey world.
With the World Junior rosters being announced, quite a few players around the prospect world will try and realize their dream of representing their country. For the players that won't participate, it means an elevated role to make up for the missing players.
