Quick turn around and the Canucks are in Calgary to play the Flames this evening. They probably won't even book a hotel today, just win and go home. Jannik Hansen stayed in Vancouver after taking a pretty ugly knee on knee hit against the Jets. Anton Rodin is making his much anticipated Canucks return. The Flames haven't played since Tuesday, so they've been looking for some game action.
The Canucks might be willing to live up to that type of play.

Let's play two!
The Canucks took game one convincingly on Tuesday by a score of 4-1. It started like normal; they scored first but then it was go time, and Jannik Hansen was all pro and the Sven Baertschi block that led to the breakaway goal was a thing of beauty. Jacob Markstrom was great, and it looked like people had fun at the game.
Tonight, the Jets are back to try and salvage the Vancouver trip, and it will take some effort because it looked like the Canucks were locked in at a certain point. It sure would be nice to see back to back wins in regulation.

How much do you like the Jets? Lots? Well, get ready for the first game of a double-double against the high flying (in name, anyway) Canadian franchise. It's pretty rare you see the same team back to back in your building unless its junior hockey but the NHL employs the best schedule makers so this is where we stand.
This used to be a pretty good rivalry and now it's kinda meh. Thankfully each team has a Tanev brother so we'll end up talking a tonne about that. The Canucks came close to beating the Blue Jackets on Sunday so their resiliency to hang around is getting better. Let's see where they go tonight.

The Canucks welcome the red-hot Blue Jackets for a matinee affair at Rogers Arena. With defenseman Chris Tanev back in the lineup, the Canucks have a bit more confidence late in the game. We all know, that's where they need it. It would be great to beat the Blue Jackets because well, they're still the Blue Jackets of Columbus and this time no cannons will be fired.
It would be a nice touch if the DJ had that sound at the ready for Canucks goals, though. I think the kids call that trolling.
Let's do this!

It's Mattias Ohlund night, and the Ring of Honor gets another no brainer. The Vancouver Canucks also play the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Canucks could use some home ice luck. They're scoring goals, but they're not winning games, and this is a league where you need to do both.
Will the extended ceremony work in the Canucks favour or will they be so rested they fall behind early? It was just a week ago the sensational Jack Skille and marvellous Jayson Megna lit up the Lightning for two goals apiece. Doubtful that happens again, but it'd be good to see the usual guys score like that.
