I'll make a confession: this Canucks post-game actually belongs to our good friend and Canucks Army mainstay, JD Burke.
Unfortunately, we've all got bills to pay, and JD had to work tonight. So I'm going to pay him tribute, and give you a nice recap of the game the way he would have written it.
That means I'm going to ignore that two goal blown lead for the Canucks.
That means I'm going to ignore that Jamie Benn overtime goal, which NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED BECAUSE THE CANUCKS HAD A TWO GOAL LEAD UNTIL MIDWAY THROUGH THE THIRD PERIOD.
That's right: here's your game day recap, as told from reports of Val Nichushkin and Jake Virtanen.

Matt Bartkowski has played in 137 NHL games.
Sure, he only has one regular season goal... but we all start somewhere, right? Praise be the new defenseman.

This summer, the Buffalo Sabres let fans vote on their goal song for the upcoming season - and while some people
don't like fun things aren't in love with the song that ended up winning, it seems to have been a success overall.
Now, the Vancouver Canucks have decided to pick up on the goal song fun, only they're taking it a step further - and giving every player their own individualized goal song.
(To be fair, the Buffalo Sabres obviously did this as well. The Canucks are just the first ones to openly admit that's what they're doing, so props to them for honesty.)

I'd like to say that it's been something like two months since general manager Jim Benning did something that made Canucks fans cringe, but I just saw Brandon Sutter stuck on the first line as a winger with the Sedin Twins.
I know the general manager doesn't create lines, but Benning, I feel this one's still on you.

Don't worry, guys! Of the two guys on the Canucks named Jannik/Yannick, this isn't the one who completely destroys referees with hits that he's clearly learned from tier-one murderer-on-ice Jake Virtanen.
This is the one who brings his own folding chair to the game.

(Yeah, I'm not ready for this season either.)
