Mid-Day Headshots is a CanucksArmy feature where we round up today's freshest Canucks news including funny gifs, awesome videos, cool photos and interesting links. If you've written a Canucks blog-post and want it to be featured here, e-mail me at thom.drance@gmail.com.

The Canucks jersey concept above is from icethetics.info who released a bunch of spec blue jerseys on their website today.

Today much of the hockey world was reacting, and paying tribute to Rick Rypien's tragic passing. Alix Wright had a touching personal take on the player she dubbed "mermaid." Murph also wrote an emotional take about his relationship with Rick Rypien over the years

Greg Wyshynski wrote about Rick Rypien, Derek Boogard and "the crisis of faith" affecting hockey when it comes to fighting in hockey. Excellent, thoughful stuff.

Jeff Ho has a follow up on his initial post dealing with "which Sedin twin will score more this season." He finds that the loss of Christian Ehrhoff may even the balance between the twins. I'm unconvinced by his conclusion - but the work is nonetheless very interesting. My hypothesis is that Daniel ends up with more points due to Hank's role QBing the power-play and Daniels positioning closer to the net (a more favorable place from which to pounce on rebounds).

Passittobulis has part two of the "every goal scored by Ryan Kesler" series up at their blog. Lots of fun to watch.
