Mid-Day Headshots is a CanucksArmy feature where we round up today's freshest Canucks news including funny gifs, awesome videos, cool photos and interesting links. If you've written a Canucks blog-post and want it to be featured here, e-mail me at thom.drance@gmail.com.

Well, TSN reported that the Canucks will indeed hire Craig MacTavish - here's my take on the hiring, and here's Jason Botchford with a level-headed answer to the "will MacTavish replace Vigneault?" question.

Jannik Hansen is looking to double his salary in his arbitration hearing tomorrow. Hopefully Gillis can complete a deal with the great dane before it comes to that. Here's James O'Brien with a take on this situation.

UPDATE: Kypreos is reporting that Jannik Hansen has avoided arbitration and signed a three year extension. I think I speak for all of Canucks Nation when I say: WOOOOOO!

More from Botchford - on the rumoured Brad Winchester signing. Not sure I'd call Sturm inconsistent - he's a reliable twenty goal scorer when healthy - but when is Sturm healthy, really?
