The chat is scheduled to start at 12pm MST today, but I can convinced to start things sooner if anything major breaks. Come by and marvel at the insanity.

Sounds like Wis, D'Agostine, and Kennedy all off the market.

@Kent Wilson

Rumor only at this point. He may have agreed to terms with the Blues just prior to 12.

@Kent Wilson

If we are going after someone with injury risk I would prefer Conolly. I think Gagne will stay in the East.

Fan960 reporting (unconfirmed) that Greene re-ups in NJ. Not much left for young D-men. Babchuk might get a pay day.

Scary to realize we've been assessing the flames backend with the assumption that Pardy and Babchuk were here, and it looks even thinner without them. And scarier to realize that if we do have them, we were the highest bidder for babchuck. Yuck.

Babchuk is going to get a disgusting payday.

1. Gio/JBou 2. Sarich/Butler 3.Brodie/Carson

With the first pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. The Calgary Flames select Nail Yakupov.

Feaster has to get in the Jan Hejda sweepstakes.

Edmonton went out of its way to keep Souray away from its young players then they sign Ben "The Psycho from San Jose" Eager. I think Tambellini was trying to sign the Ben Eager from Chicago.

Pardy goes to Dallas...$2M per season. Good for him.

Wow. Just wow.

So Hejda's going to get at least $4M then. All of a sudden, regher's contract looks like extremely good value and shouldn't have been dumped.

Wow. Shocked to see Pardy get $2M. Perhaps Dallas knows something that we don't? I won't stay up late at night worrying about that.

And we just signed Butler. 2 years at 1.25 per

Butler @ $1.25M/year seems like much better value than Pardy @ $2M/year.

Man, I just can't wrap my head around that Pardy signing.

@Greg

I concur. Dude just got a $1.1M raise... for being injured most of the season?

Wow! Pardy, Jovo, Hejda, Erickson(Det)to name a few, does anyone else not think a team like Detroit who has cap space, needed a top 4 dman would not have given us a 1st rounder for Regehr & perhaps a player like Hagman & we accomplish the same cap space? Man did we get hosed. Lets pass on these outrageously priced UFA's & Feaster, get on the phone to Colorado, I think they are losing their minds. Go get Statsny!!!!!

Too bad we lost Pardy, we could be on the verge of losing Babs. The Flames should get another solid blueliner.

Counting on Butler is a very risky proposition.

Looks like Fleischmann to FLA as well, 4 years @ $18M ($4.5M per).

Somewhat interesting, but it would've been a lot more interesting if Regehr was still around.

Belanger hooks up with EDM now, decent signing for them. Kobasuck signs in COL. Still waiting for Hordichuk's "payback", haha.

According to Bob Mckenzie, Tampa is not close to a new contract with Stamkos. We could see him on the move soon... crying shame for the Bolts and their fans if that happens.
